2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer Videos and Review on Everyman Driver

The 2024 Trailblazer undergoes several changes. It receives a refreshed front end and exterior lighting, accompanied by new wheel designs across all trims. The lineup is expanded with two new exterior colors: Copper Harbor Metallic and Cacti Green. Inside the cabin, notable updates include an upgraded 11-inch diagonal center display and an 8-inch digital gauge.

In the world of SUVs, aesthetics hold significance, and the newly updated 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer subcompact SUV certainly captures attention with its sculpted sheet metal and streamlined profile. Beyond its eye-catching style, the Trailblazer delivers substance, boasting exceptional cargo capacity that positions it among the leaders in its class. In comparison to rivals like the Hyundai Kona and Mazda CX-30, the Trailblazer offers more cargo space. Moreover, the Trailblazer stands out for its generously proportioned second row, providing greater rear legroom than the Subaru Crosstrek. The driver’s seat offers excellent sightlines, and the SUV’s Activ trim adds light off-road capabilities to its list of attributes.

However, the Trailblazer’s engine performance is middling at best, offering a choice between two turbocharged three-cylinder engines: a 1.2-liter variant with a modest 137 horsepower and a 1.3-liter version producing 155 hp. In comparison, competitors like the CX-30 and Crosstrek boast more potent engines, resulting in noticeably better acceleration and passing power on highways. Rivals such as the Volkswagen Taos offer a more comfortable ride, while the CX-30’s cabin exudes a higher-end ambiance. Nevertheless, for those valuing spaciousness, the Trailblazer is worth consideration. Its impressive cargo capacity and strong safety ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety contribute to its overall value.

The 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer strikes an appealing balance between style and practicality, flaunting striking design and outpacing the Mazda CX-30 in cargo capacity. It also excels in accommodating passengers in the second row, surpassing the Subaru Crosstrek in rear-seat legroom. While the Mazda CX-30 boasts more athleticism and a more robust engine, and the Volkswagen Taos offers a smoother ride, the Trailblazer remains a solid choice. If a slightly slower acceleration isn’t a concern, the Trailblazer’s bold design and exceptional utility make it an appealing option. While other subcompact SUVs may deliver a more laid-back ride and more potent engines, the Chevrolet Trailblazer stands its ground as a capable contender, providing ample cargo space and generous rear seating.
